Nasra Hussein Omar is a seasoned and adaptable professional with over 10 Years of experience in driving revenue growth, enhancing brand visibility, and optimizing communication and media strategies across diverse industries.
Nasra holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a Master’s degree in Communication Studies from Kenya Methodist University (KEMU). She is also a Certified Human Resource professional through HRMPEB, a certified Digital Marketer accredited by the Digital Marketing Institute (DMI) and holds an Associate Degree in Human Resource Management from Cambridge International College.
Her leadership journey includes founding and managing organisations such as the Association of Pastoralist Professional Women and Youth in Kenya (APPWYK) and Ocean Blue Communication Ltd. Recognised for her contributions to journalism and media, Nasra has received prestigious awards, including the Overall Committed Journalist of the Year 2011 by KEMEP-UNFPA and the Best Female Journalist of the Year 2010 by KEMEP-UNFPA.
Nasra’s areas of expertise include compliance and regulation, strategic communication, behavior change communication and media intelligence. She has successfully worked with the government on executing various media campaigns and civic education initiatives, demonstrating her ability to influence public opinion and drive social change. Her deep understanding of market dynamics, competitor analysis, and regulatory frameworks enables her to navigate complex challenges and contribute to organisational success.
